About Me
I’ve always been ambitious, but never because someone handed me directions to follow. In fact, as a kid, I was the one who threw away the directions...immediately. A robotics kit meant to build a cart that drove in a straight line became a 3-axis robotic arm after a few late nights, and marble runs spiraled into crazy experiments including a breath-powered pneumatic loop-de-loop that ended with me swallowing the marble. My family still jokes about me...passing it along. The phrase stuck, though, because it fits into something I actually believe: I was lucky to grow up with the tools, space, and encouragement to chase whatever caught my curiosity, and I’m sharply aware not everyone gets that - so I try to pass it along for real, through service and advocacy that gives those same opportunities to other people. Most of what I know I taught myself: take something in, take it apart, figure out how it works. I’m intense and competitive about what I care about, especially STEM, but I’ve never let that stand between me and people. More than anything, I want to prove what sustained effort does: that the right mindset and a few core values, repeated seriously over years, grow into something far bigger than where they started.
